  8. It's funny....all the comments here say how great the idea is (which it is for the most part) but on the original site all the comments are saying what a horrible idea it is. One of the comments even went on to say how her oven is to beautiful to hide behind a towel.

My concern with putting towels on oven doors is that kids can pull it and open the door, and hurt themselves, but of course the idea can be used for any towel rack in your home. That'd be great in the bathroom when oftentimes the towel ends up on the floor because it doesn't get put back up properly when drying hands.

  10. I have been wanting to do this to the hand towels in my kid's bathroom. It is one of my pet peeves to go in the bathroom and find the hand towel sitting on the counter. I didn't know if I wanted to use velcro or two big buttons.

  11. This reminds me of the never ending towels that just to be in truck stop bathrooms.

  12. Some of these comments crack me up!! Ya either love it or hate it!
As for the children pulling the oven open with the towel I have never had that issue, my oven door is just too heavy and my mom used the crocheted ones as a kid and we never had that issue, but thank you for bringing it up because its a very good point to be cautious about.

As for me, I LOVE this idea from Martha and am totally trying it!

  14. Ouu good idea! My little stinker is always stealing my dishtowel, no matter how many I hang she pulls them all down when I turn away to wash my hands, and then I have to chase her down and steal them back, maybe this will solve the problem! Either that or I'll have to listen to her scream because they're stuck and she wants them, lol.

  15. This is great, but will frustrate my labrador, whose joy it is to pull down the dish towel as soon as I put it up!!!

  17. Genius! I am so tired of picking up the dish towel 30 times a day because my little mischeif maker thinks it's funny to pull it down!
I like the button idea too. Buttons don't stick to everything in the wash.

  20. This seems like a wonderful idea for a "hand" towel or for drying hands in the bathroom. Doesn't seem practical for a "dish" towel that you'd need to detach to dry items. Clever idea, at any rate!
