Today we're going to show you how to make these fun, old-fashioned Christmas candy jar dispensers! So cute for neighbors, teachers, bus drivers, or friend gifts! The list goes on! The children will especially love them! And because they're so easy to make, you could even involve the kids in making these as gifts as well!

Christmas Candy Jar Tutorial

Here is what you'll need:

-A small mouth pint or quarter sized mason jar

-A tin chicken chicken feeder (Only a couple of dollars, they can be picked up at any IFA or farm supply store.)

-Embellishments (stickers, paint, ribbons, die-cuts, etc)

Let's get started!

Embellish a clean mason jar any way you'd like! Here are a couple of very simple ideas...

Decorate with Stencils

Using a snowflake stencil, brush snow-like paint onto the glass. Remove stencils and allow to dry completely. Easy!

Decorate with Stickers

Any kind of sticker would work! Here we used stickers with a little bling! So bright and festive! One important tip: When you have a directional design being added to the jar, make sure the jar is upside down when putting together your layout! It's got to look right when the final candy jar is put together! :)

Add decorative trim such as ribbons or fluff along the bottom. Use hot glue to secure.

Turn jar right-side up. Fill with candy! Screw chicken feeder into the opening of the mason jar.

Turn upside-down and let the candy fall down!

These are absolutely the cutest. I painted mine a Christmas red and used red garland around the lid. I found some decals in the scrapbooking section that was ideal. Keep up the good work.
