Has this been a fun year full of craft ideas and tutorials or what?!!!
Throughout the year I’m fortunate to see many DIY craft ideas from amazing crafters around the world. While researching and going through tutorial submissions, I have been overwhelmed and excited with the creative minds that are so willing to share their talents with all of us!!
I thought it would be fun to share my favorite craft trends of 2010 with you {in no particular order}!! I’ve also included a few photos of 2010 tutorials below the trends…just click on the pic to go to the tute! Also, please share your favorite craft trends of 2010 in the comments below…I would love to hear them!!
Here we go…
RUFFLES
Last year we knew that ruffles, ruffles, ruffles, were everywhere and this trend definitely stuck around for 2010…will it stay strong through 2011? I think so.
ROSETTES
Holy cow these were EVERYWHERE this year! People make them out of paper, fabric, ribbon, etc…heck my daughter made one out of her fruit roll up the other day {so kidding}!! Fabulous accessory for a bag, headband, jacket…I’ve also seen fun tutorials for rings and earrings!
I LOVE rosettes and they make everything cuter!!
ZIPPERS
I never thought a zipper could be so cute until I started seeing all of these fun zipper crafts pop up! So. Fabulous.
DOILIES
Not just for grandma anymore! I have to admit I’ve never been a fan of doilies until this year. I can’t get over how dainty this onesie below is and I’m lovin’ that vintage flair that doilies offer!
…and I definitely can’t leave out…
SUBWAY ART
Definitely a big hit this year! The fabulous thing about subway art is that it offers personalization to any décor or gift! Possibilities are endless with the many themes and fonts you can choose from!
I can’t wait to see what trends pop up in 2011!!
I realize I’ve left off many other trends so please tell me…
What were your favorite trends for 2010?

Jenn @ Peas & Crayons
I don't know what my favorite is, but I have to agree with all of these as the trends of '10. I remember reading last year's list and thinking you were so vogue to know them all. And yep, you hit them again. I really can't think of others-except YELLOW! If color can be a trend, I think yellow is one. And yes, that sentance is lame. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteMan do I love that doily table runner!
