new year. new skill (how to make jewelry!)

When I was thinking about jewelry, Rebecca at My Girlish Whims popped into my mind immediately. She’s a 21-yr old gal from the Philly area and she knows her jewelry!

Rebecca has many tips & tutorials in her “Jewelry Lessons with My Girlish Whims” series and she makes it look like anybody can do this!

She starts by sharing her favorite jewelry supplies, beads, and explains what they’re used for…

  1. Thanks! I need this post. I've just started dabbling in making jewelry. I just posted a tutorial for dressing up a jewelry gift box here (http://helpinglittlehands.blogspot.com/2012/01/wire-and-bead-bows-and-ties-gift-wrap.html) and will have the tutorial for the matching necklace up on Monday.

  7. Thank you for these links!!! I've been dabbling with jewelry making for about a year now and have figured out a lot of things on my own, but often end up frustrated with the gap between what I want to make and my skills...

  9. I love making jewelry! Just last month I did a whole series on making jewelry, without using any special jewelry making tools or supplies! I know not everyone has the time/money/patience to learn a new skill, so it was a fun challenge for me.
