I love simple.
I love making handmade cards.
I grabbed some felt scraps, cut out a simple heart, stitched around the edge, and simple “I love you” cards…
I made these b-day cards by simply cutting small triangles using my fabric scraps and making a little banner…
So simple.
So much fun.

These are great!
ReplyDeleteDid you first attach the fabric pieces and then hand stitch on top of the card?
Oops, I left that part out. I just used a little glue stick to adhere them down and then I stitched them together. I made them two big batches of cards in one hour! super easy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I am inspired!!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Thank you! =)
ReplyDeleteOh these are so lovely:) Sandra H
ReplyDeleteMaking cards is on my to-do list! I figure if I just sit and make a bunch at one time then I should have some on hand when I need them!
ReplyDeleteKari! Thanks so much for linking this up to my Valentine Link Party. Your crafts are always amazing and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHow simple! I think sometimes our creativity gets held back by sticking with one medium. I love how you combined two (fabric and paper). Something to always keep in mind.
ReplyDeleteLOVE these Kari! I'm not big into all the layers of traditional scrapbook or stamped cards, but these are simple and perfect. Pinning!
ReplyDeleteReally great job!
ReplyDeleteKari!

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love your simple cards! Thank you for sharing your ideas.
ReplyDeletelove them! where did you get the lettering?
ReplyDeletethanks Linds! The letters are actually "rub-ons" I found hiding in my stash from 10 years ago! I think using your own handwriting would be fun, too!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Something I could use some scraps from quilting to make these. I need some thank-you cards.
ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful and cute idea.
ReplyDeleteI love the banner part especially
I am a seamstress (at heart) so I always have scraps...
Love it Love your blog too...
Thank you for sharing.
Okay back to my cricut and cutting table for now.
I will be your newest follower and so I can come back again.
so cute! What a great use for fabric scraps.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful idea!!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI like simple too. Thanks for the inspiration! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE those banner cards! Do you use a special sewing needle for this? Doesn't the paper dull your sewing needle? I SO want to do this for a card set as a gift. Just wondering if I need to label some needles ONLY for sewing on paper. Thanks in advance!
