Are you ready to see a new blog like no other?!
Let me introduce you to…
Many of you know and love Mandy from SugarBee Crafts. Well, her husband Trevor started a brand new blog giving us the husbands perspective of having a “craft blogger” wife. You will laugh, your husband will laugh, and you’ll find yourself saying “yes, we do that”.
Let’s face it. Craft bloggers live in their own little crazy world sometimes.
Here’s Trevor…
You like craft blogs.
You read them daily.
Maybe you have one of your own. Naturally, you craft as well, making things out of towels, repurposing old furniture, and making rugs out of scrap fabric. So creative. So resourceful. All fueled by craft blogs.
And your man thinks you’re crazy.
How do I know that? I am one.
I’m Trevor, husband of Mandy at Sugar Bee Crafts.
I’ve been watching her craft since we were married and blog about it for the past four years. Once I realized that her blog could make a bit of money to help offset her craft addiction I went from a state of perplexion to that of interested participation. I helped her optimize her layout and became her CFO (no salary, just fringe benefits). But I still didn't get it.
If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
Then earlier this year I started So I Married A Craft Blogger so I could blog about her blogging. You can read more about why I started here.
Basically, I try to give voice to all the questions your husbands, boyfriends, and other men in your life have been asking, such as:
What's the point of a frame wall?
Is my wife a hoarder and do I need to seek professional help?
Is she crafting for the blog or blogging for the craft?
Mandy's been a pretty good sport and is actually quite supportive. I think it's just because she gets to spend more time blogging and claim it's "one-on-one" time with her husband.
So come visit So I Married A Craft Blogger and read a post or two, then bring your man over and let him read a few posts as well. I'm sure it will spark some "constructive dialogue."
