I have always wanted a Gratitude Tree on my wall for Thanksgiving, but it seemed a daunting task to cut out a tree and all the leaves to adorn it. Then I got a Silhouette Cameo and some incredible Autumn Adhesive Cardstock and I knew EXACTLY what to make:
A Gratitude Tree…the easy way!
Supply List:
1 yd of butcher paper
7 sheets of Autumn Adhesive Cardstock
12” x 48” Brown Vinyl
12" x 24” Yellow Vinyl
12” x 24” Orange Vinyl
Instructions:
Go to the Silhouette Studio Online Store and purchase these designs for $.99 a piece:
3 Leaves by Lori Whitlock Design id #20750
3 Piece Tree by Samantha Walker Design id #9066
Cut 5 leaves on the 7 sheets of Adhesive Cardstock. Use the HEAVY CARDSTOCK setting on the Silhouette program.
Only cut the bare branches of the 3 Piece Tree by highlighting the image and clicking the “ungroup” icon at the bottom of your screen in the Silhouette Program. Stretch the image to the size of your butcher paper. My tree ended up being 36” tall.
Cut the word “We Are” out of your yellow vinyl. I used a font called STARK.
Cut the word “Blessed” out of your orange vinyl. I used the font called JANDA AS LONG AS YOU LOVE ME.
Now take everything over to the wall where you want to hang your Gratitude Tree and begin assembling.
Throughout the month your family can write their blessings on the leaves and the butcher paper. Our goal is the fill all the leaves and the blank spots on the butcher paper. Surely we have plenty to be grateful for!
