My husband and I have owned our current home for the past two years.
It’s an older house that needs updating and we’ve had a wonderful time making it our home with a personal touch but, we’ve also run into some recent home improvement issues big time.
- We had a major storm that ruined our roof, fence, and trees.
- We painted our cabinets a beautiful white color, and after putting the top coat {oil-based poly} they turned an icky yellow color.
- The previous owners had a super light carpet and our four little ones have beat it up pretty bad.
So where do we find help when we have a DIY project gone bad, or have an issue and no clue how to fix it?

Thanks for posting this. We are looking for a window washer that we can trust....huge thing since they will learn our home inside/out. We hired one company but were warned from a neighbor that they were not trustworthy. I did a quick criminal records check and found that he had quite a rap sheet! Scary that I almost let them in my house! I will be book marking this site. I live in a midsize town, so I hope they have references here.
