Hi there Ucreate Readers! I am so excited to be over here today with Kari!! I'm Ashley, and I blog over at Cherished Bliss.
I'm a stay at home mom who has 2 beautiful little children, and I love them OH so much!! My family is the inspiration for my blog and I couldn't be happier! Over on my blog you will find anything from crafty projects, sewing, home decor, and more! I love coffee, so grab a cup and come say HI, I love meeting new people!
Today I'm going to share with you a super yummy recipe for Banana Bread. If you ask my husband this is the gift he wants all year round ; )
You're going to love it! Let's get started!
I started off with my sister's recipe for Pumpkin Bread (quite delicious as well!) and made a few changes
Ingredients:
(Makes 1 loaf)
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup mashed bananas (the more ripe the better)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
Cream butter and sugar, then add the remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan and bake at 350 F for 1 hour or until done
Optional: Feel free to add your favorite nuts to this recipe. I have a weird thing with nuts in my food so I left them out. ; )
Once you follow the recipe and make those changes and you will have one super delicious loaf of banana bread!
Once it was done and cooled I wrapped it up to get ready to give it away.
First I took a paper bag (free, YES!) and cut it with scissors to make the edges look torn, tied some baker's twine around it and stuck in a cute little tag from my PSA Essential Custom stamp. Their stamps are so fun and versatile, check out their blog for other great ideas!
Now it's ready to giveaway! yippeeeee!
Let's be honest though... this exact loaf didn't get gifted, I mead I had to photograph it right? So we kinda ate it.... all of it. Looks like I'll be making some more of these!
It was such a pleasure being here today! Here are a few other Christmas Ideas you can find over on the ol blog!
