Christmas CD Neighbor Gift

Simple Neighbor Gift Christmas Music

I decided to give my sweet neighbors the gift of music this year.  There are some great Christmas CD’s that my family listens to ALL the time {Amy Grant, anyone?} But I wanted a cute way to package them. So I bought some square envelopes to deliver them in. Rather than deliver plan white envelopes I wanted to print right on them, but my word document doesn’t have a setting for square envelopes.  So I improvised.

Instructions:

1. Open word document and press enter two times and type your sentiment.  My says, “Enjoy our favorite Christmas Music.”  I used a font called JaneAusten in size 18. Except for “Christmas Music” is size 28.

2. Press enter 4 times and copy the text again.  It looks like this when you are ready to print. Print one page out.

3.  Tape the envelopes on the paper so the sentiment is in the middle. I hold mine up to a window as I am placing the envelope so I can see EXACTLY where the words will be.

4.  Make sure to place a piece of tape on the top of the second envelope so it doesn’t jam the printer (yes, I am speaking from experience).

5.  Feed the page back through your printer and you should have printed envelopes.

6.  Stuff the envelopes with your Christmas CD’s and decorate to your heart’s content!

I decorated these a couple of different ways:

1. Tied Ribbon

2. Christmas Bow

3. Washi Tape & Christmas Bow

4. Ribbon & Christmas Bow

Have fun and Merry Christmas!

I second the comment above me. Isn't this against copyright laws?

  5. Thank you, Anonymous folks for bringing the copyright thing to my attention. After reading iTunes legal and seeing that you can "burn a CD for personal, non-commercial use", we decided to edit this tutorial a bit to make all parties happy.
