Review: Newtons Fruit Thins and Cookies

New Newtons Chewy Cookies and Fruit Thins

Mornings are crazy in our household from 7-9 a.m. Maybe it’s because I stay up too late enjoying my alone time watching Downton Abbey, browsing on Pinterest, or watching a movie with my husband. Truth be told I have a hard time getting up early every morning. I’m running around like mad getting ready for school, making school lunches, signing last minute homework notes, and getting them off to school just in time. Next, it’s time to get myself ready and do some laundry. Things calm down around noon and that’s when I realize that I forgot to eat breakfast. This happens to me just about every day!

When I offered to do a review for the latest and greatest Newtons cookies, I thought I’d be telling you what I thought of their products and didn’t realize I’d also be eating breakfast again!

Let’s start with the 100% Whole Grain Fruit Chewy Cookies…

Newtons Fruit Chewy Cookies

…I try to purchase whole grain products so this was an instant plus! Each serving size is only 210 calories and that includes both bars in each package.

I remember liking Newtons bars as a child and I really like the way these tasted even as a 100% whole grain version. I found myself grabbing one on the way to take my daughter to preschool, storing a couple in my purse for a quick “go-to” snack, and sending a package with my husband to eat during his early morning commute. Next up, I tried the Cherry Vanilla Fruit Thins…

Newtons Fruit Thins Review

I feel like I’m eating a dessert when I snack on these. The vanilla/cherry combo is fabulous and I gave a few to my kids and they even agreed! I snacked on these in the evenings, put them in my kids' lunch boxes, and gave them to my nephews and nieces when they wanted a “treat”.

I can’t wait to try the other fruit thin flavors available!
