I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been up to recently! I'm thrilled to participate in the CRE8TIME movement with Michaels Craft Stores this month. Have you heard of CRE8TIME?
It’s a movement devoted to helping you reclaim your creativity.
Finding time to do what you love.
Make creativity a regular part of your busy life.
You don’t want to miss this super short video…it will inspire you!
It made me stop and think “WHY” I love to create.
I love to make pretty things. I always have, ever since I can remember.
It is my “me” time. I love to improve my talents. I love to create with my family and friends. It helps me to relax and I absolutely love the feeling of accomplishment when I’m finished with a project.
For my CRE8TIME projects I had “Spring” on the mind. So today I’m sharing my Easter mantel with you and showing you how to create this super easy Easter egg wreath! Perfect for beginners, too.
I have an old window that usually hangs out in my garage and I had the perfect project in mind. I headed to my Michael’s store and grabbed a couple of bags of plastic Easter eggs, a grapevine wreath, and went to work for 10 minutes!
Yes, this wreath took me all of 10 minutes to create…
Supplies
Plastic Easter Eggs – approx 30 eggs {I used the pearlized ones from Michaels}
Grapevine Wreath
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Burlap Ribbon {or any ribbon to hang your wreath!}
Step 1. Start gluing on the Easter eggs in a random pattern.
Step 2. Cut off glue strings.
Step 3. Hang with a ribbon.
See why it only took me 10 minutes? I told you it was really simple!
Other Easter goodies on the mantel…
A glitter bunny….isn’t he cute?!
Speckled Easter eggs in a basket…
…and I whipped up these simple floral arrangements! Found the milk jug tin and flower watering can in the floral section at Michaels with these gorgeous, bright flowers…
I slapped some vinyl on the front and I love how they add to the mantel!
So tell me…
Why do YOU create?

Love it Kari, especially the flowers in the tin containers!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kara! So simple but they really brighten things up!
DeleteHi Kari! I love your mantel and your ideas! The wreath is awesome...!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how simple this wreath was to make! Thank you for your kind words!!
DeleteI love the addition of the flowers. It balances out the color in the eggs. I love it...
ReplyDeleteI usually keep things a little more neutral, but decided to go with full on color this Spring! Thank you!!
DeleteLove! This is something anyone can do. I hate when you see posts and you think...yea, I will never actually do that.
ReplyDeleteLove your creativity!
Do you think this would hold up outside {for a day at least?!}. Might be the perfect 1st day of Easter Vacation project for my son! THANKS!
