this is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long while! Finally, we are going back to the beginning. Long ago we quilters used cereal boxes for our patterns. We didn’t have Omnigrid rulers, there was no paper pieced patterns, we didn’t have fancy rulers for one or two specific jobs. We had a pen, a wooden ruler and cereal boxes! Each piece was marked, the quarter inch was eyeballed and the pieces were cut. Some of us got clever and added the quarter inch to the pattern and then hoped we sewed consistent quarter inches when we got to the machine. Now it’s a tip – too funny.
