This month’s Michaels Maker challenge is all about pumpkins! Last year I showed many of you how to turn a pumpkin into a vase and this year I wanted something for my front porch.
You can find these pumpkins at Michaels in all different sizes and colors and I freaked out when I saw these ginormous ones this year! I grabbed them and knew I wanted to make DIY jumbo pumpkins!
- craft pumpkins in any size from Michaels
- chalk paint
- brushes
DIRECTIONS:
- Wipe pumpkin down with a clean cloth to make sure there isn’t any dust or residue.
- Start painting the pumpkin with the chalk paint color of your choice.
- Let completely dry between each coat. I used three coats per pumpkin.
Enjoy your new chalk pumpkins as a beautiful addition to your fall decor!
CRAFT TIP: Add polka dots, stripes, textures, or whatever your heart desires.
I placed my pumpkins on my front porch along with this wooden ladder and fall arrows I made last year. Next project? I need a new fall wreath for my front door.
