How to Make Snow Globes (using baby food jars)!

Wow! It is exciting to get to share a fun project with the Ucreate with Kids readers! I’m Jill from Sandy Toes and Popsicles. I love Ucreate with Kids blog….so many fun things to keep the kiddies entertained, and am so thankful for the inspiration. Thanks for having me over here!
Today I wanted to share how to make Baby Food Snow Globes. They are definitely a favorite project in our house…and with a seven month old baby, I am always looking for ways to use my leftover baby food jars.
Making Baby Food Snow Globes is very simple.

Thank you for posting instructions & pictures about this snowglobe craft. It’s a brilliant idea.
I’m my son’s 1st grade room parent and had his class (of 18 kids) do this snowglobe craft for their Winter Holidays party. Snow was theme, specifically designed around this awesome craft. The kids loved the idea and were super excited to have a snowglobe all their own.
I had them send in a minifigurine a couple days prior to the party so I could prep the jar lids ahead of time. Totally worked. Oh, and I put a drop or two of glycerine in the water of each snowglobe, as I heard that helps the “snow” glitter float down slower.
Thanks again for your blog post.

I love this. I thought of another Great way to get little figurines on the cheap. At your local pet store in the fish isle. They have little characters from kids shows that are small enough for a goldfish bowl. We have 5 or 6 of them because our toddler likes to “re-decorate” for the seasons and for fun. Right now we have Cindy-lou-who in there. If I bought a second one it would be Perfect. Thanks!!

Our family (along with others) hold weekly church services at a local nursing home. Our 8 year old grandson told me the other day that he thought it would be nice to give the residents a Christmas gift this year. THIS IS IT. We’ve started collecting baby food jars and he is super excited to get started!
