Matching games are fun for children of all ages. I always enjoy playing them with my kids! Do we ever really out grow them? You can simplify the game for young children by playing with all the cards face-up. The memory game I’ve created can also help toddlers and preschoolers learn their colors and shapes. There are lots of learning opportunities in this little game.
Bubble cut around the shape pairs. Following the fusible web instructions use your iron to adhere the shape pairs to different colors of felt.
Now use your rectangle template and a permanent marker to trace nine squares onto each quiet book page. Remember to use a single hole punch to place holes along the edge for binding.
Have fun with your new memory match game!

I love your quiet book pages! I recently made books for my own kids and drew a bit of inspiration from you! They’re up on my blog if you want to check ’em out: http://babesindeutschland.com/2013/08/01/roras-felt-book/
Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you for sharing this pattern! How do you store the game pieces when you aren’t using these two pages in the quiet book? Since no velcro is involved, I’m not sure how to keep track of the pieces!

Did you ever figure out a way to store the pieces? I am currently making this for my son for his birthday in December.
