#ColorForAll

I love watching videos of children being able to hear for the very first time.

Some even bring me to tears and make me so grateful for my own hearing that I take for granted each day.

I get that similar feeling when watching this video about being color blind. Valspar paint is a company deeply rooted in color, has launched an initiative called #ColorForAll with a simple mission: to bring color to those who don’t have it, and to remind those who do, to appreciate it. In this short video you will see how three people are able to see the color around them for the first time.

As I write this post, I’m in my craft room with colorful, bright walls. Two are yellow, one blue, and one green. The colors make me feel happy and inspire daily creativity. I cannot imagine not being able to see vibrant colors around me every single day.

Valspar is also bringing color to the colorblind in another way – individuals who are colorblind or affected by colorblindness can submit their own stories using #ColorForAll or at ValsparColorForAll.com, where these responses will be featured along with additional footage from the film. Some of those submitting stories will also receive EnChroma glasses, courtesy of Valspar!

Join the conversation! Share this inspiring video on your social channels, especially with anyone you may know who is colorblind!

I absolutely love this program – my brother is colorblind. It’s awesome that he will be able to try it and see color!!
