What is a charm pack you may ask?
Charm packs are collections of precut squares (usually 5″ x 5″), you can find precut squares in many different sizes to fit your needs, too.
Why I love charm packs:
- the come in coordinating patterns – no stressing if patterns go together or not!
- they cut down on cutting time
- easy to use
- affordable

This is a great for beginners…
so pretty!
Thank you for this post. I have been wondering what kind of precut fabrics I should get that I can start on little quilts, and not wipe out my tiny-teeny purse.
I quite like colorful quilts with white background, and have some chevron patterns all over, like Patchwork Chevron Quilt by Jeni Baker, or Fresh Diamonds Quilt by Samelia’s Mum.
I haven’t made up my mind about which one would suit for my little girls’ first quilt though. Too many choices, and too many colors to choose from. But since it’s more affordable, I might be able to make more with Charm Packs…
