Free Printable: I Spy Games

I-Spy-Awesome-Princess

It’s summer time and the kids are home all day long. All. Day. Long. While we try to fill up our days with swim lessons and trips to the park, there are days when I swear if I hear “I’m bored” one more time, I may just buy a one-way ticket to Hawaii. I feel like I am constantly trying to find things to keep my kids busy so they aren’t always watching TV, fighting, or whining. Are you with me here? Please say yes. My name is Chrissy, the blogger at Teepee Girl, and I too suffer at the hands of bored children.

One of my favorite solutions to the bored-kid dilemma are these I Spy printable games. I started making different versions of these printables a few months ago and they have been a huge hit! My kids love these printables because they are fun, colorful, and engaging. I love that they keep my kids entertained for more than 60 seconds! That, my friends, makes these games awesome and I am excited to be able to share them with you!

I have found that laminating these games and giving the kids dry erase markers allows them to be used over and over. They wipe off easily with a tissue or wet wipe; then you are ready to use them again. You can put them in a bag or purse and pull them out whenever you need to keep someone busy. They are lifesavers on road trips, at church, or anywhere you have to sit and wait. But these games are also perfect for quiet afternoons at home.

These printables are great for birthday parties and they make for great, inexpensive alternatives to goody bags. My kids enjoy sharing these printables with their friends and they make terrific little gifts.

I was so excited to finish my “I Spy” printables tonight! My grandsons are going on a 6+ hour plane ride, and I think they will love these! I put the games in a plastic snap-top file folder from my dollar store. I added a zipper bag for the markers, and 2 heavy dry-erase boards so they could hold the games wherever they want. I’m so glad I found your website—thank you for sharing!
