Do you love decorating for Halloween? Do you give Halloween gifts to neighbors and friends? Please tell me it’s not just something I do. I am pretty sure I like Halloween way more than most people. Combine that with a need to create tutorials and make fun things which I get to share with you. Check out the Halloween jars I made today.
- Square glass jars
- Satin Paint
- Paint brushes
- Jack O’Lantern Paper Cut-Outs
Step #1: Paint the inside of the jar. I only painted one coat because I knew I was going to put a candle inside and I wanted it to show through a bit. This is one time where I wanted the streaky look. 🙂
Step #2: Paint a thin layer of the decoupage on the front of the jar. It’s not clear so you will be able to tell where you put it; however, it dries clear and smooth so don’t worry about the white streaks.
Step #3: Place the face cut-outs where you want and paint a thin layer of decoupage on top. The decoupage is also water- and weather-proof so I can put these on my porch with some flicker candles to add to my Halloween décor.Simple and SUPER cute. We had so much fun creating these jars for our family night. My son used the Martha Stewart glow-in-the-dark green paint and the glitter decoupage to create an awesome Cyclops Jar. He loves getting messy and creating, too. Here’s hoping the insane love of Halloween carries on to him!
