I have been on a reading kick with my kids this summer and am constantly thinking about making cute bookmarks. The Tootsie Pop sucker wrapper just isn’t cutting it for this DIYer. So, I decided to design some bookmarks. This one is the DIY Elastic Bookmark that kids can color…and it’s a free printable just for you.
Supply List:
Download BOOKMARK PRINTABLE
Printer
White Cardstock
Black Cardstock circles cut to 3.75″ circumference for the backing
Crayons or watercolors
16″ of elastic (I used baby headbands)
Glue stick
My daughter and I decided to watercolor our bookmarks and my son wanted one plain.
STEP #2: Cut out the circles.
After you cut out the colored circle bookmarks then cut some black circles slightly larger than the printed bookmarks.STEP #3: Apply glue.
Apply glue to the edges of the printed book except for the top and bottom (see the x’s above). You do not want the elastic to stick to the paper. Put the elastic between the printed bookmark and the black circle and glue it together. STEP 5: ENJOY!POST BY: Becky Vandenberg
