Hi there Ucreate Readers! I am so excited to be over here today with Kari!! I’m Ashley, and I blog over at Cherished Bliss.

I’m a stay at home mom who has 2 beautiful little children, and I love them OH so much!! My family is the inspiration for my blog and I couldn’t be happier! Over on my blog you will find anything from crafty projects, sewing, home decor, and more! I love coffee, so grab a cup and come say HI, I love meeting new people!

Banana Bread Recipe and Gift Idea by Cherished Bliss

Today I’m going to share with you a super yummy recipe for Banana Bread. If you ask my husband this is the gift he wants all year round ; )

You’re going to love it! Let’s get started!

I started off with my sister’s recipe for Pumpkin Bread (quite delicious as well!) and made a few changes

Author: Ashley at Cherished Bliss
Recipe type: Bread
Serves: 1 loaf
Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup mashed bananas (the more ripe the better)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1½ cup all purpose flour
Instructions
  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.
  3. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
  4. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until done.

Optional: Feel free to add your favorite nuts to this recipe. I have a weird thing with nuts in my food so I left them out. ; )

Once you follow the recipe and make those changes and you will have one super delicious loaf of banana bread!

Once it was done and cooled I wrapped it up to get ready to give it away.

First I took a paper bag (free, YES!) and cut it with scissors to make the edges look torn, tied some baker’s twine around it and stuck in a cute little tag on it.

Now it’s ready to giveaway! yippeeeee!

Let’s be honest though… this exact loaf didn’t get gifted, I mead I had to photograph it right? So we kinda ate it…. all of it. Looks like I’ll be making some more of these!

It was such a pleasure being here today! Here are a few other Christmas Ideas you can find over on the ol blog!
