Egg Nog Bread Recipe

How to Make Egg Nog Bread by U CreateMy kids LOVE this bread almost as much and my husband and I do. This Egg Nog Bread recipe is perfect for the holidays and is always a hit with neighbors and co-workers, too!

Egg Nog Bread and Icing Recipe

Ingredients
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1¼ cup egg nog
  • for glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons egg nog
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine baking powder, nutmeg, flour, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In a separate bowl cream butter and sugar. Add in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Slowly pour in flour mixture into the cream mixture. Add egg nog.
  5. Mix until smooth.
  6. Spoon batter into greased/floured pans until ¾ full. Bake in preheated oven for 40-50 minutes. Insert toothpick into the center and bake until it comes out clean.
  7. For the glaze: Mix together egg nog and powdered sugar until it becomes an icing consistency. Drizzle over cooled bread.
