How to Make a Bridal Shower Invitation

Becky and I are throwing our darling cousin April a bridal shower this month! I wanted to create a simple, classy invitation that went along with her wedding colors and came up with this:

How to Make Your Own Bridal Shower Invitations using PicMonkeyI’ve had a couple of people ask how I made this, so I thought I’d show you how simple it is to create using the free website, Picmonkey.

Directions:

  1. Go to PicMonkey.Com and hover over design and then click on your invitation size you want.

2. You have a blank canvas to work with. Next, I designed simple stripes. Do this by clicking on the butterfly icon and then Geometric, and then the rectangle.Bridal Shower Invitation Tutorial3. Drag the rectangle across the white canvas in order to create stripes. If you right click on the stripe you can select “duplicate overlay” and it will create even stripes. How to Create an Invitation4. Now I’m ready to add the ovals. Go to Geometric, click on the oval and stretch it to the shape you want it. I did another white oval on top of the yellow one using the same technique so the letters will pop and be readable!
Invitation Tutorial5. Now your ready to add your text. Simply Click on the “Tt” icon and then at the top of the screen click on the “add text” button. You can play with different fonts to see what fits best. You can easily change the color of the font with the color chart below. How to make your own bridal shower invitations6. Feel free to add fun shapes using the butterfly icon for a bow, flower, heart, etc. The polka dots between the words are just a font with lots of periods. Play around with the program and have fun!How to Make a Bridal Shower InvitationThe easiest part was printing them out on my Canon printer! Click print, go to size 5×7 or 4×6 and I hit print.

Canon PrinterI used the 4×6 Canon glossy paper so their was no fuss and no cutting at all! Now I just need to hop by the post office and the guests will be receiving their invitations any day!
