Michaels Holiday Dream Tree Challenge {Part One}

Christmas Tree Decorations

I can’t wait to show you what I’m up to.

I’m participating in Michaels Holiday Dream Tree Challenge!  Here’s how it works.

They send me a pre-lit Christmas tree,

a gift card, and they said “create your dream Christmas tree in one week”!

I was so excited and headed to my nearest Michael’s {only 5 minutes away} and freaked out when I saw this aisle…

Michael's Dream Tree Challenge

Get this. They have a whole aisle of Christmas tree decorations by theme! They have done the coordinating and guess work for you!

I’ve been crazy about candy canes and peppermint for years. I love the smell (helped me so much when I was pregnant by the way), the taste, and the pretty red and white combo. I’ve always wanted a peppermint tree!

Oh wait. It gets even better.

Not only did they have a whole line of candy cane and treat ornaments, they were all SHATTERPROOF! Are you serious?

With 4 kids around my home this is a huge bonus!!!

Also, make sure to check out these quick videos to see this years gorgeous themes…

    I love the color theme! I’ve had shatter proof balls for a few years now. I have a cat who likes to bat them off of the tree.

    I was at Joanne Fabrics today, and picked up a shabbily-made ornament, and it was 7.99. SICK of the crappy stuff coming over from China that we eat up here. Not this girl, not anymore!
