My Houndstooth Quilt…Finished!

houndstooth quilt

Actually two projects finished! I restored this old wooden rocking chair by giving it a distressed look with a turquoise color {Valspar Mediterranean spray paint} and it really brightened up my living room. The problem, I wanted something to hang on it….a quilt, of course!

Many of you know I’m on a houndstooth kick lately, so when I saw Vanessa from V& Co.’s beautiful black and white quilt pattern I knew it would be my next quilt project. I went with a brown and off-white color to match my living room and I had a really great time piecing this together. One of my favorites projects ever!

The Pattern: Houndstooth Quilt by V & Co.

I really love that “at home” feeling a quilt gives a room. Thank you Vanessa for providing such a rockin’ pattern!

This has motivated me to start yet another quilt and I can’t wait to show you {and yes, with my busy schedule it will probably be in a few months}!

Thanks for letting me share part of my quilt obsession with you!

GREAT job on BOTH projects Kari!! I love them so much! I am also glad you mentioned that was Mediterranean Valspar spray paint because I’ve been wondering what that exact color looks like on something. Love it. I will be pinning!

Oh. My. Word! That is so freakin’ fabulous I don’t know what to say! I love the brown and off white. And I’m pretty sure I’ve never met a Houndstooth I didn’t love. The pattern. Not an actual dog molar. That would be weird.

I really love this. And it makes me really consider tackling one. And then I’ll call my Mom and talk her into it instead. 🙂
