Vinyl Mailbox Makeover

vinyl mailbox makeover

VINYL MAILBOX MAKEOVER

mailbox before

So I decided to surprise my sister in law and give her mailbox a new look…oh we love those darn birds don’t we? haha!

I knew she was going to be gone for a couple of hours and now was my chance!

mailbox transformation

I grabbed my handy dandy Silhouette and my premium vinyl (which stays on super duper good in the weather!)…

mailbox

…and hurried like crazy to decorate it before she came home!

One neighbor even came up to me and said “Should I call the cops?” in a joking manner hoping I wasn’t a freak putting a bomb in a mailbox or something!

Mission Complete!! Phew.

I would have called the cops for sure. You’re pretty shady looking, Becky 🙂 Ha! LOVE the new mailbox design and I bet she did too.

    Have a great mother’s day!

Haha. I told the neighbor I would point whatever lethal object I put in the mailbox away from his house. 🙂 Needless to say, he watched me the WHOLE time from his garage.

Thank you!! I have been wanting to order one, and $269 was the best price I could find–for just the Silhouette! Getting the two rolls of vinyl and transfer paper included is an excellent bonus! I’m excited to learn how to use it. Love the mailbox–and that it was a surprise!

Sure. The font for the letter is House Sitter’s Club. I bought the fancy brackets from the Silhouette Store. The numbers font is called Impervious. Have fun creating!

Woohoo…did mine, but boy that vinyl is a booger to get from the roll to the mailbox (or other surface)…is there an easy way to do that?

Hi Krystyn, I make sure the surface I am applying the vinyl to is very clean and completely dry. Then I apply the vinyl, rub it on really good and gently roll the transfer paper back off the vinyl. It def. takes practice.
