So, I am a Sam’s Club shopper! Besides having a ton of great food deals for my family, I totally love their seasonal stuff. Don’t even get me started on the Christmas Season at Sam’s! On my last visit I saw a huge ribbon display and dove right in. There were so many gorgeous spring designs, polka dots, glitter, etc, but I decided on a 50 yard roll of burlap-looking ribbon. It’s more like muslin but let’s call it burlap because that is what it says on the box.
Remember the Interchangeable Holiday Wreath Tutorial by Kellee last month? I knew I was going to create my own Burlap Wreath with her tutorial and my huge roll of ribbon. I changed things up a bit by stamping mine with a flower stamp I had.
Supplies Used:
Wired Burlap Ribbon
StazOn Permanent Black Ink
Flower Stamp
I was introduced to StazOn years ago. It’s like a sharpie in inkpad form. You guys, I love this stuff! You can stamp glass, tile, metal…ANYTHING! I choose the StazOn pad because I don’t want the ink from the stamp to run when it rains and ruin the cuteness of the wreath.
I cut eight yard of ribbon off my 50 yard roll and randomly stamped it. Make sure to put paper underneath the ribbon BEFORE you stamp it. I had the 8 yards stamped up in less than 2 minutes.
It would be so cute to use the colored StazOn ink too. I was also thinking of cutting some vinyl as a stencil (for intricate designs) and using the stamp pad as “paint”. Not to sound totally cliche, but really the possibilities are ENDLESS.
Then I followed Kellee’s tutorial and created this adorable wreath. I am not quite done decorating it, but I love how it all turned out so far. It’s just a fun way to doll up the burlap, don’t you think?
