This is NOT a sponsored post! Just sharing amazing things I love.
Hey friends, I am excited that I get to share my Friday Favorites with you today. This week I have discovered some fun sewing dingbats/font, an empowering song, an essential for those using a hot glue gun and a great DIY blog!
1. I am a font lover…maybe Font Snob might be a more appropriate title. Either way, I love to scour the internet for new fonts and dingbats. That being said, I would thrilled when I came across this Tailoring Font by Woodcutter at Dafont.com. Dingbats are great for some many reasons, but I love to send them to my Silhouette and cut the shapes out of vinyl. I am going to use one of the old sewing machine silhouettes as a stencil for an upcoming project…coming soon!
2. You know those songs you can listen to over and over again and each time you listen to it you feel empowered? Lately, I have been battling some anxiety and not feeling “enough”. One particularly bad day Fight Song by Rachel Platten came on the radio and I LOVED it. I felt like it was written just for me. When the song ended I instantly downloaded it and now it is on repeat on my iTunes. Fight Song helps me feel a renewed desire to fight through the tough stuff and it reminds me I can do hard things and come out triumphant. Oh and it’s a great song to have on your exercise/running playlist!
3. Did you guys see the 2-minute craft video we did last week? Ya know, the one where Kari gets hot glue on her finger nail? If you look really close you can see a pink thimble-like thing called a Hot Glue Finger Cap from Mod Podge. This AMAZING device is used to protect your fingers from those horrible hot glue burns. I can promise the finger caps REALLY work! I have used them for a couple of months now and won’t use the hot glue gun without them. I am sure you noticed that Kari didn’t use the finger cap in the video, but got the Lace Bow done in less than two minutes. 🙂
4. Lastly for Friday Favorites, I wanted to share a fun DIY blog with you called The Kim Six Fix. Kim has everything from kids crafts and home decor to recipes and sewing tutorials. She made a Painted Cross Stitch Peg Board to die for! I absolutely love all the inspiration. The Kim Six Fix is definitely a blog to follow!
We would love to hear from you. What favorites have you discovered this week?
Oh my gosh Becky! Thanks so much for including me! <3
You bet! So happy I found your blog! LOVE IT!
